Thanks for you comment. I am sure many may be asking “If Messiah has already come why is there no peace in the world?”

Messiah had to come first as the suffering servant (Isaiah 53) to deal with the hearts of men and establish the new covenant (Jeremiah 31:31-34) we are now waiting for Him to return as King (Psalm 2) to establish His everlasting reign (Daniel 7:13-14).

Thank you for a well balanced discussion concerning Daniel 9. I am also a Jewish believer in Yeshua as Messiah and Lord. I learned a lot about how this prophesy has been treated historically. The inconsistency of including Daniel as a prophet and the various ways this text has been undermined does seem to further validate Isaiah 49:7 and Isaiah 53. I also enjoyed how you explained the text of Daniel 9 using the Hebrew in similar prophetic writings to provide clarity. Daniel 9:24-27 is clear: Messiah would be Divine and would come before the Second Temple would be destroyed.
